Man who shot at police during 2023 chase pleads guilty to felony charges

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man will spend the next eight years in prison after pleading guilty to a shooting at officer during a police chase.

The Wallace Police Department says that this week in Pender County court Gary Devane pleaded guilty to two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property, possession of a stolen firearm, and two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm.
