WHITEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Columbus County have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last week at a home on Rouse Lane in Whiteville, where a man in his 60s was held at gunpoint and robbed of approximately $1,500.
According to investigators, 37-year-old Cierra Young and 37-year-old Robert Lacewell, both residents of Riegelwood, face multiple charges stemming from the violent incident.
Robbery Occurred on October 29
Deputies say the robbery took place on the night of Wednesday, October 29, when the victim — a man in his 60s — was approached at his home by the suspects. Court documents reveal that the pair allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded money before fleeing the scene with $1,500 in cash.
