Brunswick County Residents: Water Disinfection Process Changing Back to Chloramines Starting November 8

Brunswick County Public Utilities Department will change its water disinfection process from chlorine to chloramines starting November 8, 2025. This follows the department’s annual disinfection and flushing program, which began on October 7, 2025. The program included flushing water mains and using chlorine throughout the county system.
