Snow flurries reported across the Wilmington area as freezing temps arrive

As the wind picked up and temperatures dropped on Monday, Nov. 10, there was another surprise arrival: snow.

Snow flurries reached the Wilmington area around 11 p.m. According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, it recorded light snow at 11:11 p.m. at Wilmington International Airport.

The weather service had already issued the first fall freeze warning starting at 10 p.m. through 9 a.m. Nov. 11 with low temperatures dropping into the 30s for several days. Just a few days earlier, the Wilmington area saw a mild weekend with high temperatures in the upper 70s…
