18-year-old pleads guilty in shooting that riddled home with bullets

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A New Hanover County man has pleaded guilty to a shooting that happened in February.

According to the District Attorney’s (DA) Office, 18-year-old Nasir Holliday pled guilty to:

  • Discharging a Weapon Into an Occupied Dwelling
  • Two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
  • Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHSO) responded to a shooting at a home located on Chair Road on Feb. 3, where around 62 shell casings were found outside and at least 26 hit the home, states the DA.

The DA stated that Holliday was identified as a suspect after probation ankle monitor location tracking and surveillance footage from several locations placed him near Chair Road at the time of the shooting…
