WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– On one of the busiest days of traveling for Wilmington International Airport, dozens gathered outside the airport to protest Avelo Airlines.
On Sunday, the local Wilmington Boycott Avelo Coalition gathered outside ILM to protest against Avelo Airlines’ partnership with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on deporting illegal immigrants.
The deportation flights are not illegal, but Joel barrio, the lead organizer, said it’s unethical, and they don’t want it in the community…
