New era begins for Wilmington as female majority joins City Council

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington City Council is preparing for a new era as three women will soon take the oath of office.

For the first time, the Wilmington City Council will be majority women. Newly elected members JC Lyle, Cassidy Santaguida and Chakema Clinton-Quintana, will be sworn in Tuesday, Dec. 2.
