A Carolina Beach man charged in connection with the fatal shooting of his son planned to kill him and his daughter before killing himself, according to the prosecution.
Robert Strauss Davis, 62, had his first appearance in a New Hanover County courtroom on Dec. 1 for second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of his son, Andrew Tyler Davis, 39. Robert Davis attended the appearance virtually, while family members sat quietly inside the courtroom.
