Pop-up markets launch in Cape Fear as SNAP cuts threaten food access

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina is hosting a series of pop-up markets in the Cape Fear as more people could see a cut, or lose, their snap benefits altogether.

For the remainder of this month and into the new year, the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina at Wilmington plans to have weekly pop-up markets, offering food items for those in need.
