PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Two children will receive a $263,000 settlement from the former UNCW student who killed their father when he was fixing a trailer that had become unhitched from his truck in 2024.
Court records show that Mildo Velasquez’s family settled the lawsuit filed on behalf of his children in September. The lawsuit accused Raylee Grieco of being negligent in causing the accident that killed Velasquez.
