WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Your First Alert Forecast opens with dry skies and seasonable highs in the lower and middle 60s Saturday. A few showers are possible early Sunday ahead of an Arctic cold front.
Beware an arctic cold front with First Alert Weather Days for Sunday and Monday; frigid Sunday night low temperatures near 20 and wind chill values in the single digits could threaten people, pets, plants, exposed pipes, and even records. Temperatures are set to soar by the middle of next week into next weekend with highs in the 60s and possibly even some 70s. But, for now, your First Alert Weather Team’s chief focus is the evolution of that potentially dangerous cold snap.
Your First Alert Weather Team is still focused on Sunday night/Monday morning as most will see frigid lows in the upper teens. Some single digit wind chill values are possible. In addition to pets, plants, and people make sure you have an action plan to protect your pipes.… pic.twitter.com/pFtkIZ0oJz
