Southern Brunswick evacuation route studied after wrecks and worries

State and transportation agencies are working with one Brunswick County beach town to improve a major highway and evacuation route.

As fatal car wrecks, development approvals and resident concerns continue to grow, the town of Sunset Beach is pushing for safety improvements on the 6-mile stretch of N.C. 904 from U.S. 17 to the Sunset Beach Bridge.
