BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – The winner of the 2023 Own Your Own competition has opened their restaurant in downtown Burgaw.
Patty’s Place had its official ribbon-cutting on Monday. The restaurant made national news before it even opened its doors. Khristen Hunter, head chef and owner of Patty’s Place, won the Own Your Own restaurant competition after the first winner backed out.
Hunter competed against 500 other chefs. After taking home the win, she was given a million-dollar budget to design the restaurant of her dreams, a process that took about two years…
