Leland Police Department earns state accreditation

LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – The Leland Police Department received full accreditation from the North Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation program (NCLEA), officials announced.

The department says it met 116 standards covering training, use-of-force policies, records management, law enforcement procedures, emergency response and community engagement during the comprehensive review process.
