Crowd gathers in Wilmington for vigil after ICE agent kills woman in Minneapolis

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Close to 100 people gathered downtown Thursday night for a vigil honoring Renee Nicole Good, a woman shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

Attendees at the Wilmington vigil said they felt called to speak out against what they believe was an unjustified shooting.

“This was a mother. This was a mother who was sitting outside of her house,” organizer of the vigil, Madison Morrison said. “She was doing what so many of us do, taking care of our community, making sure our neighbors are safe.”…
