Beach renourishment projects delayed due to surge in demand for dredges

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Several beach renourishment projects in the Cape Fear region are being delayed due to just one item, dredges, being in high demand.

The project at Carolina Beach is paused because the dredge used to collect and bring sand from offshore is being moved to another project up near Philadelphia.
