OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – Over 4,000 gallons of untreated wastewater were released due to a failure of a force main isolation valve.
Brunswick County Public Utilities (BCPU) reported that the sanitary sewer overflow was discovered near 6576 Summerfield Place in Ocean Isle Beach on Friday, Jan. 9, at about 11:57 a.m.
