WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A 33-year-old man received a prison sentence Wednesday after pleading guilty in a fatal drug case that claimed a woman’s life in 2023.
Michael Lawrence Walker Jr. pleaded guilty to Death by Distribution and Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 83 to 112 months behind bars.
The court also handed down an additional eight to 19 months, suspended, along with two years of supervised probation. Walker must complete drug treatment as part of his supervision requirements…
