WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) is investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday afternoon.
According to WPD, at 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 18, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 2900 block of Carolina Beach Road.
“The suspect entered the store, brandished a metal object, assaulted an employee, and fled the scene on foot with cash and other stolen merchandise,” WPD said. “The victim sustained minor injuries.”
