WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Pender County property owners have until February to list all taxable personal property and real estate changes with the tax assessor’s office.
The annual listing period runs from Jan. 1 through Feb. 2, 2026.
Pender County officials said taxable personal property that must be listed includes newly acquired or previously unlisted items, such as:
- Mobile homes
- Manufactured homes
- Boats
- Jet skis
- Aircraft
- Multi-year tagged trailers
- Unregistered or untagged automobiles
- Trucks
- Trailers
- Campers
- Motor homes
- Motorcycles
- Farm equipment
- Fully furnished vacation rentals
- Business personal property
Real property owners who do not own taxable personal property are not required to list unless they made improvements to real estate within the last year or acquired real property with unlisted improvements. These improvements include new construction, additions, decks, porches and outbuildings…
