For more than four decades, Brunswick Family Assistance has quietly filled the gaps that often go unseen.
Founded in 1981, Brunswick Family Assistance (BFA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to helping families and individuals in crisis throughout Brunswick County. While many organizations focus on a single form of aid, BFA was built around a broader understanding of what stability really requires. Food is essential—but so are housing, utilities, and access to medication. From the beginning, the organization’s mission has been about meeting people where they are and helping them move toward self-sufficiency with dignity.
