WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Actor Trevor Donovan will return to Wilmington on March 7 to host the Raise the Ruff Casino Night benefiting Paws Place, a no-kill animal shelter in Winnabow. Donovan became familiar to southeastern North Carolina audiences after filming the Hallmark movie “USS Christmas” in Wilmington in 2020. He participated in last year’s fundraiser and was invited back for the 2026 event.
“The pups,” Donovan said when asked what brings him back. “It went so well last year and they invited me back and I’m honored to come back. So, we’re going to do it again. We’re going to raise some money and get some puppies adopted.”
