Developer responds to community concerns before Holly Ridge vote

HOLLY RIDGE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Holly Ridge community got to ask questions directly the developer looking to be voluntarily annexed into the town Wednesday night.

The public information session comes nearly a week before the Town Council will decide whether or not to annex close to 1,500 acres into Holly Ridge, approve a proposed development agreement with the Holly Ride Development Group, rezone parcels and approve a request of a concept map for the proposed Planned Unit Development.

The development group is looking to bring workforce housing to the area with a cap of 2,750 residential units. The development agreement draft says it will not exceed more than 450 multi-family units or 2,300 single family units, though developer Michael Rokoski says they do not anticipate nearing the caps…
