BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County Schools (BCS) has announced that it has renewed the contract for its Superintendent.
According to BCS, the Board of Education (BOE) recently reached an agreement with Superintendent Dale Cole for a contract extension and salary increase.
BCS said the agreement aligns his salary with other superintendents in similarly sized districts in North Carolina.
“Moreover, the Board also weighed Mr. Cole’s salary increase against the annual increases BCS staff have received since his arrival in 2023. In keeping with the lower range of those increases, Cole’s new salary represents an average annual increase of 4.5% since his hire date,” Steve Gainey, BOE chairman, said…
