NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A third-year middle school science teacher has been named Rookie Teacher of the Year for New Hanover County Schools (NHCS).
Jonathan Fariss, a 6th-grade science teacher at Murray Middle School, received the recognition at the annual celebration held by the Wilmington Rotary Club and New Hanover County Schools on Feb. 17.
