PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Pender County Schools and Bordeaux Construction held a topping ceremony Friday, Feb. 20, at the site of the new J.H. Lea Schools campus, marking the placement of the final structural steel beam.
The event began at 11 a.m. with welcome remarks from Don Hall, chair of the Pender County Board of Education, according to a release by Pender County Schools (PCS). PCS Superintendent Dr. Brad Breedlove and Pender County Board of Commissioners Chairman Randy Burton also addressed attendees.
