BOLIVIA, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick Community College (BCC) has been selected to participate in the UnitedHealthcare Future Leaders in Health Scholarship Program, a statewide initiative designed to increase the number of healthcare workers in rural North Carolina.
UnitedHealthcare committed $500,000 to the program, which will fund scholarships for 400 students across 35 North Carolina community colleges, according to BCC.
The scholarships cover tuition, testing fees, transportation and basic living expenses for students enrolled in Nurse Aide I, Nurse Aide II, Practical Nurse and Associate Degree Nursing programs…
