The owner of Platypus & Gnome near Wrightsville Beach has announced the restaurant is closing. Matt Danylec posted a note to social media that said Feb. 28 will be the last day in business for the restaurant at 7205 Wrightsville Ave.
“I have truly loved serving this community and being a part of Wilmington’s great food scene,” he wrote in the letter, but he added that he has also sacrificed time with his family for the restaurant.
“Ten years ago, I could do that; it was just my wife and me. But now, two kids later, I cannot continue that lifestyle,” he said…
