First Alert Forecast: needed rainfall now, brighter changes shortly

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – February’s final work week will finish with gloomy clouds and periods of rain amounting to half an inch to locally around an inch. Tap into your WECT Weather App’s interactive radar and keep your umbrella close.

Keep your umbrella handy Thursday and Friday, most especially later Thursday into early Friday. Potential for a solid rain event as we head toward the growing season! pic.twitter.com/WZmQjvChYw

Saturday, February 28th will be transitional with gradual clearing and drying, so, certainly not a throwaway. Sunday, March 1st is looking even better with solidly bright skies and temps on the mainland reaching for the 70s for highs.

Great weekend to flip a page in your WECT Collector’s Calendar, and engage in plenty of other early spring activities. As usual, early March is way too early to get sensitive plants into the ground, but there’ll still be plenty you can do in the garden. pic.twitter.com/BBtHPxBHMe
