Easterseals PORT Health ending ABA program, leaving 15 families scrambling for care

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Easterseals Port Health is ending its applied behavior analysis program in Wilmington on March 31, giving 15 families just over a month to find a new provider.

Applied behavior analysis, or ABA, helps children with autism develop key life skills. For 10-year-old Weston Butler, who has Smith-Kingsmore syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder, this program is essential.
