NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – New Hanover County commissioners will consider a proposal from the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust to purchase the county-owned Bryan Tract property and convert it into a publicly accessible nature preserve.
The county owns about 60 acres at 3990 Independence Blvd., known as the Flossie Bryan tract property, which was willed by Flossie Bryan with the intent it be preserved for public benefit as a park or community greenspace.
