Thirty years ago, it seemed like the end of the road for a Wilmington-shot network TV series that combined elements of drama, horror and the paranormal.
But while “American Gothic” aired its final episode July 11, 1996 — it was cancelled less than a year after premiering Sept. 22, 1995, on CBS — the show’s journey has, perhaps surprisingly, continued.
