SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – A crash victim is renewing her calls for accountability and tougher consequences for drunk drivers after the woman who hit her was accused of violating probation.
Marta Dash was hit by a driver a year and a half ago and spent six weeks in the hospital as a result. A judge sentenced that driver, Cindy Early, to three months in jail as part of a plea deal. Now, that driver is accused of violating her probation, and Dash hopes it means a longer sentence as punishment.
