WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington City Council did not discuss a police department request to replace shotguns with rifles after the mayor asked to withdraw the item from the agenda Tuesday evening.
The Wilmington Police Department had requested over $250,000 to buy 90 rifles to replace shotguns currently used by officers.
