WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – US 421 is shut down at the Thomas Rhodes Bridge due to a wreck, according to DriveNC.
The wreck is causing significant backups on both sides of the bridge.
Traffic on US 74 coming into Wilmington is backed up into Leland. Traffic on US 421 coming into Wilmington is backed up to the I-140 interchange. Traffic is being diverted onto 74 East and the Isabel Holmes Bridge.
