Southport businessman convicted of disorderly conduct

SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – A Southport businessman was convicted of disorderly conduct on Tuesday, March 24, and sentenced to 12 months of supervised probation.

David Allen Truglio, 67, of Southport, was sentenced in Brunswick County District Court, according to court records.

Truglio faced three charges stemming from a March 7, 2025, incident at Haven, a wine bar which he owns in Southport.

The charges included assault on a female, sexual battery and disorderly conduct, according to a statement of charges filed March 24. Court documents alleged Truglio pinched the female victim’s buttocks and made gestures intended to provoke violent retaliation…
