Two Brunswick County Planning Board members have stepped away from their positions, one citing the board is an “unnecessary step” for developers.
Vice Chairman Jason Gaver and board member James “Jim” Board officially resigned from the Brunswick County Planning Board. While Gaver’s recent move landed him in another county, Board resigned due to a “broken process.”
“Perhaps it was naive, but I genuinely believed I could bring common sense and logic to what I viewed as unchecked, unbalanced, and largely unrestrained development in Brunswick County,” Board stated in his resignation letter, which was effective immediately. “After 18 months of service, I have concluded that I was mistaken in that belief.”…
