Burgaw has ordered the immediate evacuation of an assisted living facility in the town.
According to a news release from Burgaw on March 26, Poplar Grove Assisted Living Facility, located at 300 W. Ashe St., was evacuated “due to multiple and severe violations of required fire and life safety protection systems.” Operations at the facility have also been temporarily suspended.
