WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A Wilmington man is facing an additional charge following his arrest related to a deadly shooting in the Creekwood neighborhood in January.
Don Eugene Nixon III is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, according to an arrest warrant issued on March 27.
The arrest warrant alleges that Nixon III “unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did assault [the victim] with 9mm firearm deadly weapon, with the intent to kill him.” The assault happened on Jan. 26, the same day Nixon allegedly shot 20-year-old Da’Jour Ellison in the Creekwood neighborhood…
