WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Smart Start of New Hanover County has announced Shannon Smiles will join the organization as executive director beginning April 27.
Smiles has more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education and program administration, according to the release.
She most recently worked as director of early childhood education and NC Pre-K state contract administrator for New Hanover County Schools. In that role, she oversaw a team, managed more than $10 million in annual funding and directed operations across 19 early care and education sites…
