WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A man who pleaded guilty to shooting a student at New Hanover High School in 2021 appeared in court Wednesday on new charges, including a parole violation.
Chance Deablo, 20, was charged with hit-and-run with property damage and driving without an operator’s license, both misdemeanors, for offenses that occurred on Tuesday, April 14. He was also charged with violating his parole.
Deablo was released from prison in December 2025 after serving five years and 10 months. His parole was scheduled to end Dec. 21, 2026…
