BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County is inviting residents to a series of community meetings this month to learn more about a proposed new Land Development Ordinance expected to go before the Board of Commissioners this summer.
Three in-person meetings will begin at 6 p.m. and include a formal presentation from the county’s consultants, N-Focus Planning, on the latest draft. The same presentation and materials will be offered at each meeting and are expected to last 60 to 90 minutes.
County officials said the presentation will provide an overview of the draft, summarize feedback received during the public input process and explain what changes are allowed or restricted under state laws governing local planning and zoning. Planning staff and consultants will be available afterward to answer questions one-on-one.
