DOJ charges 11 migrants in SNAP, other benefit fraud

(NewsNation) — The Justice Department announced arrests and charges for 15 people, 11 of whom are living in the U.S. illegally, for allegedly taking part in benefit fraud.

According to the DOJ’s news release, alleged fraud totals more than $1.4 million across programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, MassHealth, disability benefits and unemployment benefits.
