SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – Heavy rain moving through western Massachusetts is raising concerns about rising water levels in the Connecticut River, prompting warnings from a local marina.
Rain, including heavy downpours and the potential for thunderstorms, is expected to continue through Monday, with totals between one and two inches across the Pioneer Valley. Brunelle’s Marina in South Hadley has issued a high-water notice, urging dock patrons to take precautions as river levels continue to rise.

Marina officials are strongly encouraging boat owners to either seek safe harbor or remove their boats from the water as soon as possible. The service ramp remains open for those who want to haul their boats independently.
