For the first time in 45 years, The Pan-Mass Challenge Challenge has a new starting line.
The bike-a-thon will start at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester on Saturday, Aug. 1. Since 1981, The Pan-Mass Challenge started in Sturbridge, located 22 miles away from Worcester. From this year onward, however, the second-largest city in Massachusetts will be where bikers begin their ride from Worcester to Bourne.
No roads will be closed in Worcester for the bike-a-thon. A spokesperson for the Worcester Police Department said impacts to traffic should be minimal as the beginning of the race takes place from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Saturday…
