Worcester broke a 46-year rainfall record on Wednesday, July 29, as heavy rain drenched the city.

A total of 4.56 inches of rain was measured at the Worcester Regional Airport on Wednesday, the highest amount of rain ever measured on July 29, according to the National Weather Service.
