WESTBOROUGH – Just after their lunchtime on June 6, firefighter-paramedics Curtis Cook and Trevor Olson were flying down Westborough roads en route to a residence on Adams Street. They were responding to a report of a woman in active labor, and that a baby may need to be delivered then and there. It was a situation neither of them had experienced on the job.
On the way, Cook and Olson – two members of the six-person team who arrived – formed a plan.
“If they’re calling us, it’s an emergent situation. It’s not a call we do a whole lot, so there’s some nervousness that comes along with it. Of course, you want everything to go well,” Cook, who has been with the Westborough Fire Department for six years, told the Community Advocate…
