Mass. weather: Heavy rain and gusty winds expected to hit state

Massachusetts residents can expect one more warm and mostly dry day before a stretch of wet and unsettled weather moves into the state to start the new week.

No weather watches, warnings or advisories were in effect Saturday morning, but forecasters are closely monitoring a storm system expected to bring periods of heavy rain and gusty winds beginning Sunday night and continuing through Monday.

Saturday’s forecast calls for a mix of clouds and sunshine, with highs reaching the mid- to upper 80s across much of Massachusetts.
