Bay Path High School teachers and parents deliver petition to school committee

CHARLTON, MA – Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School teachers, parents, and former students delivered a petition at the September 8 School Committee meeting signed by over 1,100 community members from the school’s ten sending districts and across the county. The petition called for the School Committee to return to contract negotiations with the school’s 130 licensed teachers and to prioritize a living wage for the 20 paraprofessionals.

Jessica Huberdaut, a parent of a BPRVT High School student, reminded the School Committee that coming to an agreement with school employees “should not be about winning, should not be about control. It’s about valuing students and teachers, and the future of our school”…
