Storm Team 10 continues to monitor the latest developments on this weekend’s nor’easter.
As we track the onset of this weekend’s storm system, our region has already been experiencing stormy conditions. As of 1:00 PM Friday, maximum wind gusts have been recorded between 25-35 mph inland and 35-45 mph along the coast. Wind gust speeds are forecasted to continue increasing through the weekend.
Despite being windy and gloomy this morning, we have been staying dry. However, that will not last for long. Nantucket is already experiencing rainfall, and within the next few hours, the first of many rainbands will pass through the coast. It will not be until the evening for northwestern RI to see its share of rain.
